How To Delete Drafts On Instagram‍?

Did you know that there is a hidden section in your Instagram where all your unseen photos and videos are stored? These are the drafts. While most people probably don’t even know about this section, some users are taking advantage of it for their own good. After all, it helps them save storage space in the long run. But if you have finished editing a photo or video and no longer need to keep it as a draft, here’s how you can delete them on Instagram.

How To Delete Drafts On Instagram?

Open the Instagram app.
Tap on your profile icon at the bottom of the screen and select Profile from the drop-down menu.
The profile page will open up, tap on Edit Profile from the top right of your screen.
Scroll down to find ‘Drafts’ and then tap on it to open up a new menu where you can delete all your drafts at once or individually by deleting draft photos or videos for example.
To delete all drafts, tap on Delete Drafts under ‘Drafts’ in the main menu which will prompt you to confirm that you want to delete all the drafts at once. You can also tap on Delete Drafts next to each draft photo or video if you want to individually delete them instead of deleting them all at once in one go.
Another way is by going back to your profile page and tapping on Edit Profile again, scrolling down again, and then tapping on Delete Drafts next to ‘Drafts’ in this menu as well as individual photos and videos that you wish to delete instead of deleting them altogether.

Once you have deleted all your drafts, you will no longer be able to view them from the ‘Drafts’ menu in your profile and you’ll need to go back to Edit Profile again and delete them individually instead of deleting them all at once again which is what I recommend when you’ve finished editing photos and videos that you don’t need anymore.

Deleting A Draft On iOS

Go to your account on Instagram and tap your profile picture.
Go to Settings > Account > Tap on the three dots in the top right corner of your screen.
Scroll down and tap Manage draft posts and videos. 4. Select the photos or videos you want to delete by swiping them left or right, then tap Delete in the top right corner of your screen when you’re done selecting those you want to delete.
Tap Delete post, then confirm by tapping Confirm once more, and all of your selected photos or videos will be deleted from Instagram’s servers within a few minutes after that.

Deleting Multiple Drafts At Once

Open up your Instagram app.

Tap on “Move to trash” in order to delete all those drafts at once so they will be permanently deleted from Instagram along with their original photo or video files (which may take a while depending on how many photos or videos you have). Note: If you delete multiple drafts at a time, it will only delete them from your Instagram app but not from your phone’s memory altogether so make sure that you do not delete these photos or videos from your phone’s memory when deleting them from Instagram because doing so may cause issues with syncing and uploading content between devices again later on if you do not want to lose these photos or videos already uploaded to other social media apps like Facebook, Twitter, etc.
After deleting them all, you can re-upload them on Instagram or any other social media app of your choice.
