The revenue acceleration

Shifting developer preferences
The market rotates. JetBrains reported that Claude Code usage rose from 18% in January to 39% in the May to July 2026 survey. GitHub Copilot usage fell from 29% in January to 21% during that same window. Cursor usage dropped from 18% to 12% in that period.

This credit system led to surprise overage charges for some users. Claude Code remains a major competitor, as it reached 18% adoption in January 2026 and has the highest satisfaction score of 91%. In the United States, almost half of developers use Claude Code at work.
