  • If you forget your password, you can reset it by clicking on the “Forgot Your Password?” link located in the lower-left corner of the Chrome browser window.
  • If for some reason, you can’t delete your history, you can always reset your Chromebook to its original settings. To do this, click on the “Reset This Chromebook?” link located in the lower-right corner of the Chrome browser window.

What Is A Chromebook?

A Chromebook is a laptop computer that runs the Chrome operating system (OS). It’s usually less expensive than a computer running Windows or MacOS, yet is just as powerful. The Chrome OS is built on the Linux kernel and uses Google’s Chrome browser as its interface. This means you’ll access the internet, email, and other cloud-based apps through the browser. This system makes Chromebooks great for people who spend most of their time online. They’re also great for people who are privacy-conscious or want to protect their children online. Chromebooks require an internet connection to function, so everything you do is passed through Google’s servers. This gives you a layer of security by encrypting your data and making it harder for hackers to access it.

Why Should You Clear Your Browsing History?

  1. You might be shopping online and end up buying something you didn’t originally intend to buy.
  2. You might have accidentally visited a site that’s not appropriate for your age or interests.

  5. You might have been using a public computer where anyone could access your browsing history.
  6. You might have been using an older version of Chrome that doesn’t save your browsing history automatically.
  7. Clear your history so you can start fresh with new passwords for different websites and accounts you use on the internet.
  8. Clearing your browsing history can protect you from being tracked online by advertisers or other websites.
  9. Clearing your browsing history can help you avoid accidentally giving away personal information about yourself.
  10. Clearing your browsing history can help you get back to the browsing experience you were expecting when you clicked on a link or opened an article.
