Salesforce Agentforce 2 pricing model explained in plain terms
Salesforce Agentforce offers three pricing structures: Flex Credits starting at $500, a $2 per conversation model, and per-user licenses ranging from $125 to $550. Users must also account for Service Cloud prerequisites and implementation costs between $2,000 and $6,000 per agent.
Salesforce Agentforce pricing structures
Salesforce Agentforce uses three distinct pricing models. You can select Flex Credits, Conversations, or per-user licenses. Flex Credits cost $500 for 100,000 credits. Each standard action consumes 20 credits, which costs $0.10. Voice actions consume 30 credits, which costs $0.15. These credits are available through Pre-Purchase, Pre-Commit, or Pay-as-you-go plans.
A single action consumes up to 10,000 tokens.
The $2 per conversation model remains an option for customer-facing agents. A conversation lasts from the agent’s first response until the issue closes or 24 hours pass. You cannot use both Flex Credits and Conversations in the same org. This model is a pre-purchase buying model only.
Per-user licenses provide unmetered usage for employees. The add-on for Sales, Service, or Field Service costs $125 per user per month. Agentforce 1 Editions start at $550 per user per month and include 2.5 million Flex Credits per year. A $5 per user license exists but requires a standalone Flex Credit purchase.
The Help Agent SKU is a different option. This model charges $2 per resolution. A resolution consumes 400 Flex Credits, which equals $2.00 at the $0.005 credit rate. This option became generally available in July 2026.
The Flex Agreement allows you to shift budget between human user licenses and digital labor. You can convert unused user licenses into Flex Credits or vice versa. Salesforce Foundations is a free entry point for Enterprise Edition customers and includes 200,000 Agentforce Flex credits.
| Model | Price | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Flex Credits | $500 per 100,000 credits | Variable workloads |
| Conversations | $2 per conversation | Customer-facing bots |
| Per-user license | $125 to $550 per user | Internal employees |
| Help Agent | $2 per resolution | Automated resolutions |
Mandatory prerequisites and deployment costs
Service Cloud is a mandatory prerequisite for all users. Agentforce sits on top of an existing Service Cloud license, so the AI is an extra cost. You must use Enterprise Edition or higher.
Implementation takes time. Independent reports show a 5 to 11 month timeline for typical deployments. Fewer than 10% of customers have fully scaled the platform.
Budgeting for implementation is a reality. Many organizations hire partners for setup and training, which costs between $2,000 and $6,000 per agent. You must account for these costs alongside your licensing fees.
Setup takes time.
A 50-person team using Agentforce for Sales at $125 per user per month costs $6,250 every month before they add any Flex Credit consumption for their specific agent workflows.
Data readiness is a requirement. You need Data Cloud to process unstructured data or perform retrieval-augmented generation. The Digital Wallet tracks usage in real time across agents and teams. An action is a specific function an AI agent executes. Examples include searching a knowledge base, calling an Apex class, or sending an email.
| Factor | Agentforce | Coworker |
|---|---|---|
| Prerequisite | Service Cloud | None |
| Price | Usage or seat-based | $29.99 per user |
| Implementation | 5 to 11 months | Same day |
Calculating usage and comparing alternatives
Comparing models requires math. If a conversation involves 20 actions, the cost of Flex Credits at $0.10 per action matches the $2 conversation fee. If an agent performs fewer than 20 actions, Flex Credits cost less. If you use more, the $2 flat fee is cheaper.
Math determines cost.
Check your data. You need Data Cloud for advanced features. Credits expire fast.
Coworker provides an alternative for teams without a Service Cloud requirement. Coworker costs $29.99 per user per month and connects to 50 tools. You must confirm which model applies to your deployment before you sign a contract.
How much is the total cost of ownership?
Agentforce is built for the Salesforce ecosystem. It uses the Atlas Reasoning Engine to handle tasks like lead qualification and case management. This depth is useful for companies already running Service Cloud.
