What Is Screenshot?

A screenshot is a digital image of whatever is visible on your computer screen. Screenshots are very useful for saving a record of information such as web pages, videos, images, or even your computer desktop. They are also used to highlight parts of a document during discussions. Taking a screenshot on your Asus laptop is an easy process. You just have to press a few buttons and the screenshot is saved. You can then edit the screenshot and save it in your laptop.

Taking Scrolling Screenshots On Asus Laptop

  1. You must have a program for taking screenshots. A few of the most popular programs are Snagit, Screen Capture, and Jing. They all work fairly well and will allow you to take a screenshot of whatever is shown on your screen.
  2. After you have the program installed on your computer, open it up and select File> New Screenshot or press Ctrl + Shift + S. The program will capture the current screen and save it to your computer as a screenshot file.
  3. You can then edit the screenshot by selecting File> Edit or pressing Ctrl + E to bring up the editing software. You can use the arrow keys to move around in the image or use other tools such as arrows at the bottom of your screen to help you with this process. It is best if you take notes while doing this so that when you are finished with editing, you can remember where certain things are located in each image on your laptop screen so that they are easy to edit later.
  4. Once you are finished editing, select Save or press Ctrl + S to save the edited screenshot on your computer. You will then be prompted to name the file and save it in a specific location such as your Pictures folder.
  5. You can also take scrolling screenshots on an Asus laptop by pressing Shift + F12 at any time during the screen capture process. This will allow you to take a screenshot of whatever is on your screen as it scrolls down so that you don’t have to wait for the whole thing to load before taking the screenshot.
  6. There are many other features and options that you can use with your screenshot software to make your life easier while taking them. For example, if you want to highlight a particular part of the screen in a screenshot that you are taking, you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard and move the cursor to the area that you would like to highlight. You can then select Edit> Highlight or press Ctrl + H and then move around in the image until you have highlighted everything that you need to highlight. This will allow for much quicker editing later on rather than having to remember what is where later on when trying to figure out which one was taken earlier in an image.
  7. If you would like to take a screenshot of the whole screen, you can use the F11 key on your keyboard. This will take a screenshot of whatever is on your screen and save it to your computer as a new file.
  8. You can also upload screenshots taken using the built-in software on your Asus laptop to social media sites such as Facebook or Twitter by selecting File> Upload Screenshot or pressing Ctrl + U. You will then be prompted to select where you would like to save this image file and/or where you would like it uploaded to.
  9. When taking screenshots using the software that comes with your Asus laptop, make sure that you know how long each screenshot will be before taking them so that you don’t accidentally delete or lose any of them later on in the process when trying to edit them later on. Go into your System Control Panel, select Power Options and scroll down until you see Screen Saver Settings, select it and then change the time that each image will be saved.
  10. There are certain things that you should never do when taking screenshots on a computer, such as using the Print Screen key or any of the other special keys on your keyboard to take a screenshot. If you accidentally take a screenshot of something that is important to you, it might be very difficult to get back and remove it if you want to later on. It is best not to use these keys at all when taking screenshots, but instead use F12 or Ctrl + Shift + F12 so that you can see what is going on in your image before you save it.

Conclusion

A laptop is a computer that can be moved from one place to another and that runs on battery power. Most people use laptops for work, school, or entertainment at home or on the road. Taking a screenshot on an Asus laptop is simple. Simply press a few buttons and the screenshot is saved. You can then edit the screenshot and save it in your laptop. Screenshots are very useful for saving a record of information such as web pages, videos, images, or even your computer desktop. They are also used to highlight parts of a document during discussions.
